Details

The six exhibition halls with over 500 square meters of space of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Venice illustrate the universal genius of Leonardo da Vinci, exhibit interactive machines, multimedia videos, infographics, anatomical studies and in-depth analysis of major paintings by the great master, and offer educational workshops.

You can try out the most important engineering projects of Leonardo da Vinci, with well over 60 machines in perfect working order. These were faithfully recreated from his designs, such as the "war machines", "civil engineering machines", the "flying machines", the "ideal city" and "principles of physics". You can thus trace the ambitious dream that Leonardo da Vinci nurtured throughout his entire life: flying.

For each machine there are information panels translated into 6 languages to provide further details.

The rooms are enriched with multimedia installations, making the visit even more inspiring.

Visitors can also deepen their understanding of the anatomical studies and major paintings by Leonardo, illustrated through the use of high-resolution backlit installations.
