Roncade Castle looks back over a thousand years of history. Given to the Counts Collalto in AD 900 and after that destroyed by Cangrande della Scala, Roncade was brought back to life in the sixteenth century by Girolamo Giustinian, one of the descendants of the honorable Venetian family who lived there until the end of 1800.

Passed on to the Barons Ciani Bassetti, the Castle, as of now named Villa Giustinian, has come back to its unique nature after hundreds of years: today, Castello Roncade has a renowned wine cellar and opens its doors to visitors for guided tours.

The Roncade Castle is the main existing Venetian manor enclosed by medieval walls with towers and turrets. Inside is a noteworthy garden, 30 statues, colonnades, an old private church and the Villa Giustinian, with its exquisite salons and eighteenth-century furniture. Roncade Castle is surrounded by vineyards, where the popular Roncade wines are cultivated today.
