Add wine tasting to your visit to the Villa Serego Alighieri! An experience perfect for gourmets as well as for lovers of art, history, literature, and good wines. The magnificent villa has belonged to the direct descendants of poet Dante Alighieri for almost seven centuries. After twenty-one generations, the counts Serego Alighieri continue activities on the farm, in the vineyards, and the guest house.

Opening Hours: all year round - Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm - visit subject to confirmation upon availability.

Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Languages: Italian, English, French, and German.

The price includes the guide, the entrance to the guest house and historic gardens, and the tasting of three wines from Valpolicella (Amarone, double fermentation, Reciotto) paired with a local specialty.

 

Accessibility: property is not accessible to persons with physical disabilities.

 

Cancellation Policy:

For cancellations from booking to 4 days before the day of the visit, cancellation penalty is 30% of the total amount

Villa Serego Alighieri in Gargagnago di Valpolicella is a must see for lovers of art, history, literature, and fine wine: this Venetian villa has belonged to the direct descendants of Dante Alighieri for almost seven centuries. Dante spent several years of his exile in Verona. After the death of the great poet, his son Pietro took possession Casal dei Ronchi in Gargagnago in 1353. The estate lies in the heart of the historic Valpolicella region near Lake Garda It consists of close to 300 acres, which today are largely planted with vineyards. After twenty generations, the counts Serego Alighieri, direct descendants of the poet, continue to care for the family estate through activity on the farm, in the vineyards, and forestry.

The Villa, surrounded by the vineyards, features an elegant guest house for meetings and corporate events.

Your visit includes the gardens of the villa, the grape drying barn, the cellar with cherry wood barrels and culminates with a tasting of three wines from Valpolicella (Amarone, double fermentation, Reciotto) paired with a local specialty.
